well theres pros and cons of both
with keeping your sight...your communication skils are limited..because you can't hear..meaning you can't learn to speak...so you can only communicate with people through sign language...and the people who know sign language are a small minority in the world
someone cal say "look at this bitch right here"...and you wouldn't even know it....unless you can read lips.....but thats usually for the people that actually go deaf later in life because when they had that sense they recognzed peoples mouth movement in relation with the words coming out of it...
with keeping your hearing....your communication skills will be very good..as good as a person with all 5 senses...but on teh other hand you wont be able to see who you are talking to....no driving, and other things like watching movies or coming on RV!!! won't be ablle to communicate with ya fellow netcees via the pc anymore....when you get a girlfriend or a boyfriend...you'll only know their true inner beauty becaue you have no clue what it is they look like
and oh yea..with keeping your sight you won't be able to drive either..because it is law to have all 5 senses to be able to drive....
and all of this is if your blind or deaf from birth...not if in 30 seconds its one or the other.....i know thats probablly not waht the question was....but i just wanted to feel special and share one of the few things i know
so my personal verdict is to keep my hearing.....on one condition....that i would of been blind since birth so i won't be going through life saying "damn i wish i could see that again...or see that person again"
