http://community.rapverse.com/showthread.php?t=227271 step after step strolling through familiar streets ones i would adventure when i was just up to your knees A nice sunny day Clear skies, soft breeze One of those days that you live in a fantasy A smile on my mouth, and glimmer in my eye When friends would hang out, with nothing to do time after time But nothing was everything Because it was never really nothing Everyday was the same thing And everyday was fun Where the park was the place and bikes were a must Not caring about the dirt on your face and feeling cool when you cuss riding trails your parents banned you from climbing rocks, trees, then falling from'em no peer pressure no feeling to fit in because everyone was one and everyone was in and thinking and comparing about then and now It sets the sun And darkens the clouds Because the library steps Where we would shout Are dirty and wrecked And drugs are handed out Which are paid for and used By souls I once knew Minds beaten, abused And futures are skewed A smile I use to laugh with When times were the best Are emotionless cysts Just a giant drunken mess Intoxicated by Sin, Lies, Gossip and Greed Lust, Addiction and what they think they need there is a second part. ill post it later. |
Ok here goes my first post lol....I liked this a lot, the beginning did not grab my attention and I overcame my severe ADD and continued to read. In doing this, I found a very decent descriptive piece. I did not expect the poem to become what it became and that is what I enjoyed most about it. I hate when I start a poem and can almost finish it myself because it is so damn cliche.
