He is NOT saying that last week you said that you lived in the UK when you were a kid. He's saying that last week you said that you WERE STILL LIVING in the UK, but for him to say that, he needed to post "live" into past tense, because as stated previously, that post of yours came in the past. YOU DID NOT MAKE THAT POST RIGHT THIS SECOND.
