Yeah, I've been thinking. You look at the mainstream artists like Young Joc, Rick Ross, Franchize boyz. Imagine they only had the equipment we had? You know how shit they would sound? they would be complete nobodies. Technology has upgraded so much since HipHop was created. And that's Word. Honestly if some of the artists on this site was given professional equipment. We'd be better then alot of commercial/mainstream artists out there. And i know that for a fact.

You notice how if you have shit equipment and you try that "Young Joc Shit" no emotion in your voice and sounds like your dead. Nobody would listen to your shit. They'd be like Wtf is this? now get some good equipment and do that and you can talk and technology can still amp up your voice and attract viewers.

^ word...people like jada (who i like) has one of the industries most monotone/un-emotional vocals in hip hop...yet coz of the effect he uses in his tracks kinda hides that people don't see it...but my boy D-Thug is exactly like that vocally...but gets told he needs to work on it...i bet if Jada dropped on RV...people would be like DOPE EMOTION hahahaha lol...

yeah, def. agreed... cuz ive tried that Joc/Fab/Kiss emotion type thing and it REALLY doesnt work... and you can tell when you listen to cats' old school shit, like some early Little Brother where Phonte sounds so shitty cuz he has that same kind of monotonous flow too and he didnt have the equipment he does now... but yeah, imagine somebody like Fab with shitty equipment like we got... he wouldnt even be considered one of the top heads on this site, and i love Fab, so im not even hatin on him, thats just the difference equipment makes...

^^^^^ i think that would be a word for myself...... kids thought i elevated mad crazy after i got my new setup.... and half of it was just the fact that my shit was easier to listen to since u dont got all that unprofessional soundin pops/clicks/and other mic messups that makes the quality bad and hard to hear wat u say......

and Gladiator totally missed the point i think....... i thought Kon was tryna say that its kinda fucked up that bad emcees who would be thought of wack as hell if they had bad quality are gettin all these airplays and recognition largely based on the fact of the good quality...... along with catchy hooks........

Kon is right...there called "producer reliant" MCs...the radio is ruled by them...but yall gotta understand every emcee has their own vocal set...its so serious that if a MC goes to a different studio than his usual, the engineer has to call his regular engineer an find out exactly how to record an mix him....but yea alot of Mcs wouldn't be shit without they quality but the upside is u give a good to great MC this quality an its butter.
