Gay marriage hypocrisy

copied this from myspace
since i know gay marriage is a touchy subject

Ronald Reagan - divorced the mother of two of his children to marry Nancy Reagan, who bore him a daughter only 7 months after the marriage.

Bob Dole - divorced the mother of his child, who had nursed him through the long recovery from his war wounds.

Newt Gingrich - divorced his wife who was dying of cancer.

Dick Armey - House Majority Leader - divorced

Sen. Phil Gramm of Texas - divorced

Gov. John Engler of Michigan - divorced

Gov. Pete Wilson of California - divorced

George Will - divorced

Sen. Lauch Faircloth - divorced

Rush Limbaugh - Rush and his current wife Marta have six marriages and four divorces between them.

Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia - Barr, not yet 50 years old, has been married three times. Barr had the audacity to author and push the "Defense of Marriage Act." The current joke making the rounds on Capitol Hill is "Bob Barr...WHICH marriage are you defending?!?"

(Former) Sen. Alfonse D'Amato of New York - divorced

Sen. John Warner of Virginia - divorced (once married to Liz Taylor.)

Gov. George Allen of Virginia - divorced

Henry Kissinger - divorced

Rep. Helen Chenoweth of Idaho - divorced

Sen. John McCain of Arizona - divorced (in all fairness, though, he voted against the amendment)

Rep. John Kasich of Ohio - divorced

Rep. Susan Molinari of New York - Republican National Convention Keynote Speaker - divorced

So ... homosexuals are going to destroy the institution of marriage? Wait a minute, it seems the Christian Heterosexual Republicans [heyyyyy, not all heterosexual Christian Republicans are against gay marriage] are doing a fine job without anyone's help!

If you agree, like I do, that hypocrisy and bigotry must end, repost this. Perhaps this will open some eyes!

lol man you should find that bulletin called for or against..that shit got people going crazy on this subject..personally..i could give a fuck...

They wanna get married let em....shit no different than Anyother person....

No one is saying gays will get divorced more so that will ruin the sanctitiy of marriage.....the whole idea behind marriage is a man and a woman uniting as one. In the actual marriage ceremony they say "we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony." No where does it say this man and this man, or this woman and this woman. Your arguement holds no water and is quite honestly the most immature way I have seen this whole issue try to be swayed.....for either side. I actually think that gays should be allowed to be married, but your arguement is atrocious

Young Kidd (LM) 06-09-06 10:11 AM

Lol^ but no where is it written that that particular saying has to be said as "Man and Women In Holy Matrimony" that was written by a person also..and remember..everyone has a biased opinion no matter what..

The reason I don't support gay marriage is defined by my sarcasm in..."Let the str8 people have it, because we ALL KNOW it works for them."

50% divorce rate?

I think most people are scared that once gay marriage passes then gay couples will be making out and crap on the sidewalk all day.

Which is dumb, but I think that's what they are really afraid of.

Mad Dog 06-09-06 10:23 AM

well 1 man gets screwed over in a straight marriage while the woman enjoys it very much

so

if they allowed Gay marriages

then divorce would be a VERY fucked up process for 2 men

and a delightful process for 2 women

I didn't know you had to be married to "make out".

Also, I think this notion of the "family being threatened" by gay marriage is utterly ASININE! How in the world is a gay guy a threat to any family? As long as you have a man and a woman, you'll have procreation. The human race is not under threat, especially with the population booming yearly.

Get outta dodge!
