Good Car Software
Like mechanical stuff about how the car runs, what parts look like, etc..
|
there are books you can buy that are specified for certain makes and models of cars.....i'm not sure about any software...
|
Well I know that some places sell cheap software about the basics of cars.
Like where the spark plug is, what it looks like, why it's important, etc... I'm not gonna research one make, I want to learn the basics of cars overall. |

Word to me checking howstuffworks.com before Apexx said it.
One time at Walmart I saw this software that was basically Auto Shop 1. It told you all the basics, had quizzes, a virtual car that you could experiment with, etc... Knew I should have gotten it. -_- |
^word up man, the books and guides and all that really help but truth be told, the way I learned about engines was a book on chevy 350's (the most common engine on this continent) and then I hit the junk yard, picked one up for about $100, put it on the stand and just completely dissassembled the entire thing, and put the entire thing back together. The 350 is a BREEZE to work on so I kinda just cruised through it.
engines are just one of those things you have to learn hands on, you have to see inside after you open it your self in order to really see how it comes to life. damn man, i got the race jones in my bones again |
