everyone explain how YOU personally edit your vocals. Don't come at me on soem bullshit about, I don't want to give nobody my techniques. WHO THE FUCK CARES. a technique won't make nobody better then you. Maybe improve them . So help out the RV community and drop your methods.

lol...first off i got a MXL 990..but first i silence all the shit that had just background noise then..

noise reduce..
then if its me or my man hitta i graphic eq..gentle lo cut..if its my niggas Kozmik or A-o..i dont do that cause their voice isnt too deep..
then i hard limit..
then i reverb
then i go to my waves plug in..then Q10 paragraphic eq..and i got some special settins in there so u prolly wont get those..but anyway..yea i do that and im done..listen to my shit it sounds good if u ask me..

listen to one of the first three songs tho..they the ones where i used that technique..

*googles MXL 990.* how much flow did that run you. I still got my sock over the mic but i do have a new equipment Soundcard/amplifyer etc.

I have a pretty decent set up..

I normally go too

Dynamics Processing
then reverb
then grahpic equalizer
then parametric equalizer
then FFT or FTT Filter(i cant remember what its called)
Then I used teh Native Waves Platium Bundle
Then I do Click/Pop Eliminator too get that High click outta there

and well if you listen too my music and like the quality u'll use my technique

should do click/pop eliminator first, otherwise it'll take forever for it to load up.

but im about to step up to a Rode NT1-A..ya feel me..thats gonna run me $200 but its worth it..the sock is for rookies..get a pop filter..but whateva u get wont make the quality clear..u gotta kno how to make it clear..what does what..u gotta learn CEP first..ya dig?

well for me..the hiss and click and pop eliminator..IMO that just distorts ya voice and makes ya quality worst..the best thing to do is to keep it simple if u ask me..if u put too much shit on ya voice its gonna sound even worst then when u started..

oh truth, for me the noise reduction fucks up my quality. there's this noise that keeps clicking when i have it on. But word. And about the sock. yeah im finna upgrade but im tryna find the cheapest, yet clearest quality ya dig? so you bought your shit online huh? i might have to check that out.

I was listening to your "role model" joint. That shit is fiya, but you do know that the volume is loud as hell? lol

yea i kno the volume is loud..but ya feel me i just wante it to sound clearer then it would if it was low i guess...but maybe its cause i listen to alot of loud music in the car cause all my shit recently has been mixed too loud...

oh truth, maybe you just listen to the beat with the bass on high as a ma f'. oh well shits still hot. and quality sounds nice.

and im pretty sure the noise reduction distorts ya voice becuase u got the readins wrong..i BET..what u gotta do is..turn off everything except the computer of course..and be real still..press record and let the mic record nothin for about 5 seconds..then go to the noise reduction screen and hit "get slection from profile"...after the shit pops up hit close..NOT OK..when u hit close it will save it and shit..then on ya vocals just go ahead and hit ok in noise reduction..

i will try that....

its the last thing i do....if you want it too sound good you gotta wait
