Moments of enlightenment?

Does anyone else get this kind of thing?

Its like... Sometimes i'll read something and be like oh yeah, that makes sense. Or ill think about something and be like oh yeah. And then hours later, days later, weeks later even... I'll be thinking about it and then CLICK. I just get this understanding. A realization. And all I can do is smile. Like not only do I comprehend a concept, I understand it so well and apply it to something I have actually experienced and know and it all seems so clear to me.

Its happened to me a handful of times about different things.

Thats just part of growing up bro...

I used to get that shit a lot.. Now a days I dont get as many realisations because theres just simply less for me to understand... And when I do learn new things on a large scale, it doesent really shock me as much as it used to.....

I know exactly what you mean though yeah......

What was your realisation that inspired this thread?

I read this a couple of days ago:

Adaptability is intelligence - Intelligence is sometimes defined as the capacity of the individual to adjust himself successfully to his environment, or to adjust the environment to suit his needs.

What is adaptation? It is like the immediacy of the shadow adjusting itself to the moving body. Wisdom does not consist of trying to wrest the good from the evil but in learning to "ride" situations as a floating cork adapts to the crests and troughs of the waves.

I understood it. But then today like 2 hours ago when I was pissing, I realised the reality of this in the way that I am towards people. I adapt the way I act and the way I am to peoples personalities, sometimes even in a manipulative way. I usually do it to avoid conflict, to find out something, or to get something that I want without seeming like I want it.

When I saw this I smiled. It was funny.

Yeah man...

I do that shit.. Once you understand how peoples brain's work, its not hard to hit em up with a bit of neuro lynguistic programming and manipulate their opinions...

As long as your quick witted...

Yeah.

By the way man, about your other post, I dont think you should think you have less to understand. I mean... There is such an immense amount of knowledge available in this world.

"The fool who knows his foolishness, is wise at least so far. But a fool who thinks himself wise, he is called a fool indeed."

You know? The usefulness of a cup is found in its emptiness.

Meh, I don't get those. Either I comprehend something or I don't, and if I comprehend it later, I don't get any smile feeling about it. :\

But on the subject of manipulating people, yeah, it's pretty damn easy in most cases top bend a person to your will. For me, it's a subconscious thing, really. I'm a manipulative little shrew.

Oh I'm not saying I have nothing left to learn by any means.. I read every single day because of this...

But in terms of real enlightening knowledge, theres a lot less left for my mind to really be shocked over. Its hard to explain..
