cant help ya there mayne... im rockin the Samson CO1... no problems... low maintence mic... plug and play shit.... if its a technical problem wit cool edit i might be able to help ya.... if its ya mic... ya prolly wanna either Appex or Q
|
may be your setting in cool edit.... try recordin in Mono
|
i'm recording in mono. i seriously don't know what the problem is, i just recorded a verse for a collab w/ techomega n a few others a few days ago. shit......
|
Try recording in mono like that guy said.
If that doesnt work, open up cool edit then press ctrl+alt+delete and go into processes. Find the cool edit process, and right click it. Then set its priority to the one above what it is now. If that doesnt work, let me know. |
this is what you do.........record with another mic....any mic..doesn't matter the quality..see if it does the same thing.....if it doesn't then its your mic....if it does then its a problem with cool edit.....best way to get an idea of where you need to be directing your attention to..

iigh thanx everyone

You could also just try rebooting your computer
|
lol i've done that about 5 times since the problem began
|
Your problem has nothing to do with your mic. It's in the sample/playback speed of your computer. it's called latency and you're most likely experiencing it due to system load from high ass paramaters.
Close the pornos while you're recording will help. So will getting your RAM up. In the mean time, doublecheck your sample rate of your vocal tracks and make sure it's set to a realistic number, specifically 44.100khz and your stereo bitrate (prolly what's killing you) is 128kbps. Anything higher than these two setting are unobservable to the human ear and are pointless for your needs. This should put you back on time. if not, turn the SBR (stereo bit rate) down to 96kbps as a last resort. 1 |
ok this might be a dumb question but where do you go to change the sample rate and stereo bitrate???

every program is different. when in doubt, read the Help file. It'll point out exactly where you need to be |
