Pre amps and quality..
 

does a dope ass pre amp affect the quality of your audios....because i got a 50 dollar pre amp.....and i was wondering if pre amps have anythign to do with your quality or are they all pretty much the same....

Yes your pre amp will affect your quality. But a $50 one is fine.

and yes, a pre will definitely make a huge difference in your quality. Just like cables. And a mic. And everything else in the daisy chain.

an Interface however, wont, since they're direct boxs that run on data, not sound.

i started using a 50 dollar pre amp myself with a samson b1 or some shit i forget...

But than i copped a 6 track LS mixer... (which is currently broke, im just too lazy to shear teh wires and fix it lol)

But pre amps DO fuck with your voice... its not 100% natural

With having a mixer, you can EQ (high mids lows) Reverb etc etc all BEFORE and after you record, so you can have a 4 man group (like i do) and have pre sets for each emcee

Pre amp is 'fine' if you wanna make tracks for kids on the internet to listen to and give you props

its not 'fine' for doing a serious project for profit

This dude doesnt look like hes doing a serious project for profit. If he was doing that he wouldnt be asking if pre-amps make a difference to quality and if a $50 one is OK.

So I told him it was fine. lol

ohh i strive to get beter and better....i want top notch Grade a qualiy....i got money...i will shell out hundreds for a dope pre amp if i have to.....
