Why is it hard to make real friends nowadays
 

I believe in employing biblical principles as much as possible. I don't succeed all the time. But, the effort at least puts me on the right track. I'm striving toward perfection (maturity) in the Word. Anyway, why is it hard to make real friends nowadays?

I mean, the bible says, "treat others the way you want to be treated." So, I keep that in mind when dealing with people in my everyday life. Even when they are cantankerous, I try to be cordial.

The bible says, "He who has friends, must show himself to be friendly." So, I put myself out there alot to make new friends, but many people seem to be very cautious these days.

I think the world is caught up in vicious cycle of hurt, retaliate, hurt. People can grow to be so cynical in life, they fail to actually live it.

Am I wrong?

The problem is, you will be hard pressed to find anybody who is smart enough to try and live like Jesus. Most people are fools.

my freinds I have now, are who i grew up with, i have 6 close fam. There was more, but you know how it goes as people grow older, cunts start doing there own thing, so yeh.

I dont need to "make" freinds, cause I grew up with the cunts I kick it with now.

makin "friends" ain't hard if people actually like you.

i understand that. But, I'm just at a point in my life where I want to meet new people, travel to new places, and do things differently. Making associates is easy. I'm taking about tried-and-true close friends that are hard to come by. I just don't want to hang around doing the same old thing that everyone else is doing.

A.) People didn't use the fact that I'm gay as a weapon
B.) Pretend to not have a problem with me being gay, but then (do A)
