My school's archives
My summer school teacher wants our class to do a documentary about the history of our school in hopes that the city will give us money to fund a rebuilding of certain areas and shit, so today, we got to go up to the archives. :) Apparently, when everything got moved out of the cafeteria, they just fuckin tossed it at the top of the auditorium and we had to organize and shit a little bit more.
The dopest part though was how fuckin old a lot of it was. I found a couple newspapers from 1886, one that was talking about guys from our city forming an anti-Chinese orginazation. =/ We ended up finding yearbooks from 1901 to the present and a whole archive of school weekly newspapers from about 1926 to the present. I also found a lot of pictures from 1900-1920 and memory books and gradebooks and attendance records and it was just bananas IMO. Hopefully next week when we go up I can read more of the things, today I just got to flip through it but it was still illy. |
i dig old shit like that, shit is illy... but yo ya teacher got some high hopes for kids in summer school, u can't even pass ya class and she wants help from u guys to get money to rebuild the school?... i bet she just wants some child labor of u cats cleanin up that mess of an archive

This class isn't for people who failed though, it's a prepatory class for the AP class he teaches. And Col-B, the building everything's in was built in about 1926 I think and is actually considered a national landmark. =/ |
