[So uh, my class was going over homo sapien sapien and the ancestors (habilus, erectus, rudolfenis), and a girl decides after talking with some other girl next to me to raise her hand. I hadn't heard the conversation, but here is the conversation with the teacher:

Girl: So uh, what type of category does Jesus fall under?

And the teacher is dumbfounded. My world history teacher is a smart dude though, he knows all these extra little tidbits and whatnot, but he was just so dumbfounded by what she had asked.

Girl: You know, like, from Moses to Jesus, what were they?
Teacher: You can't just...let yourself be restricted by some stories like that.

And yes, this is five minutes after we were discussing what the fuck pre-history was. And we had CAREFULLY taken notes concerning the dates of the homo genus, such as 1.8 million to 400,000...and we had DISCUSSED HOW HISTORY IS BROKEN DOWN. You know, like, the meaning of B.C. and A.D. and how it happened 2006 years ago.

The sad thing:

1. Jesus was born roughly 2000 years ago.
2. We were discussed homo erectus, homo habilis, and things of the sort, which lived in the hundreds of millions to 40,000 years ago.
3. Her reckoning: the Bible must record all of history (this is after we just got finished talking about prehistory) and, because of this, and because homo habilis fossils exist, then that means people like Moses lived millions of years ago and were not homo sapiens.
