Experienced Beat Makers Enter

I know this is supposed to be in the Audio Thread. But seeing that the audio assistance forum gets check once a year, i think that i am perfectly justified in doing this.Soooooooo........

I have a sample that i want to turn into a beat, and I have FL Studio 5. I believe that the only way to insert a beat sample into FL is to change the file into a wma file, then importing it as a slice into the program. Unfortunately, whenever FL slices my file, its never matches up completely, and the end of the file is always turned into some kinda of crap that cant be made into a beat all together. Basically, i want to know how to import this sample, without slicing, so i can slice it myself without FL doing it. So, help, please.

I'ma loop one part of the sample, turn another part into the intro, then another for the chorus....but the packs, i see what your sayin. I'll try that. Do i have to save it any other way, but just a wav file?
