Anyone else pre-ordered and getting theirs on launch?

I'm gonna blow so much cash on games, cause theres so many must-have launch titles... -_-

naw....but ps 3 will be very interesting.....havent really seen anything on wii

Yeah PS3 is cool... I'm not really hyped about the launch though. More or less NO great games.

I'll probably buy one some time next year when the new MGS/FF/Whatever else is good comes out for it. Or, of course, if the launch line up changes.

Wii on the other hand, theres at least 5 games I have to get with it.

im not to fond of the wii controls. they seem wayyy too complicated
and im more into sports games so ps3 has better format and graphics for their sports games

You can't say that without trying it. You could say the same for me thinking its good, but ive seen all the videos and reviews by credited sources that all say how wonderful the controller is and describe it's use. Not to mention all th developers that want to develop for it purely because they think the controller is kick ass.

For one, it isnt complicated at all for decent games. Obviously those gay ports that come out on all system have to think up a system of complicated and annoying gestures for the controller, or just use the normal one which takes away the fun...

Other than that, its simple... Point, shoot. Swing. Slice. Jab. Drive. Punch. Hold it parallel to the ground in a flying game and tilt the front down to tilt down the front of the plane... Tilt sideways to tilt the plane sideways... etc.

either gonna pay the extra 160 at launch or buy it and sell it on should stock run out and make me a nice lil profit :)

Downhill Jam is a perfect example OMB. I'm getting it. I should have 250 by then. lol I got a preorder of 5 on it though. My copy is reserved. (Suckers around here don't preorder shit Hehehe)

Super Smash Brothers Brawl isn't coming out until like Fall 07 so I won't be getting it till then.. but Call of Duty 3 is coming out next month soooo yeahhh.

Dude, that was just Sony and Microsoft buying off all the third party support.

This time nintendo has basically every single developer wanting to develop for the Wii, because they all love the controller and how easy it is to develop for and the possibilities it opens.

I think the only title meant FOR kids that will be available at launch is spongebob. Also available on every other system out now. Mario galaxy is far too difficult for kids, even though theyre gonna wanna buy it. Warioware is aimed more at stoners. Metroid and red steel for the FPS fans. Excite truck for racing guys. In Japan at least a few RPGs will be available, and definitely an X-Men RPG for the US as well as zelda.

btw there were plenty of fine games for gamecube. Its wierd though, everyone goes zomg nintendo has kiddie games, when every other console gets them too... The first party nitendo games could be considered childish by looking at them, I guess... But if they were kiddie games, they wouldnt get such great reviews from every reviewer that isnt prejudiced.

Wii however... Rockstar themselves said the controller was kickass, and that they look forward to developing for it. Of course theyre not gonna port GTA4 to the thing, its too different from the PS3 and 360. It will get its own original games like that to suit the controller. And boy will they... Now I think about it, that would be so dope. Theres such ill control schemes for shooting, slicing, hitting, flying, driving, etc that they've thought of with the Wii controller... It would be good to have them all used in a GTA-like game.

But yeah, other than that get over it. Kids in primary school play GTA more than they do Nintendo games. They dont like nintendo games, because they say they look "kiddie." Ironic, isnt it? The kids think nintendo are kiddie, and the ######## gamers praise nintendo for their excellency, originality and innovation. lol
