best format for mixdowns to brun to disk??!
 

Ayo, when mixing down and saving, whats the best quality without being too much MB to save to computer then burn to disk.

MP3 quality is booty.

If anyone can let me know a suitable mixdown that will play in various types of CD players without problem it will be appreciatted.

The best format is Wav or AU. But that's hella wastefull and the CD is gonna mix it down diferent anyway.
so the best format is mp3. yup. mp3. 128kbps with a 44.1khz. that's the limit of human hearing. Anything lower and you lose data. anything over this you won't notice a difference in clarity at all.

remember, 128kbps stereo bit rate, 44.1kHz sample rate.

the problem i had with MP3 was some people dont own a CD player that can play MP3. When distributing a mixtape, you dont want to me all "ayo if it doesnt play" it should be consumer freindly.

^yeah, but writing to mp3 doens't make the playing CD all mp3's. they're still just regular CD tracks when you burn em.
