My Uncles (One Of My Earliest Verses)
 

Brought into this world by my father, back then he had 2 brothers/
Never the type to show emotion, but you could see they loved eachother/
I can't really remember how it all went bad/
But now my cousins are livin life without they dads/
Back then I was young, didn't know about weed bags or coke bricks/
But those products led to death for my uncle, back in 96/
I don't remember much of him, I was only five years old/
But he was an amazing man, at least that's what I'm told/
My cuz still don't know, his pops was addicted to snow/
At 6 years old, he had to let his father go/
I still didn't think much of drugs, it's just smokin some weed/
Then another death hit me back in march of '03/
He used to snort, but he went clean, just wanted to get paid/
Didn't even know he had HIV, till it transformed to AIDS/
When I think about his death, it blows my mind/
An innocent man, leavin 2 kids behind/
They say he's in a better place,but I dunno if I believe it/
As I get older, memories are slippin, but i'm tryna retreive it/
At least they're resting now, no more sorrows or worries/
I just wish my memory of them wasn't so blurry/
So this is dedicated to my uncles, god bless their souls/
I won't forget till the day I die and my body turns cold///
