how do you formally start one off

Sean Gunner 12-20-06 11:13 PM

You get a lawyer to write it.

Any other way is a severe risk of leaving something out or having multiple loopholes.

Past Tense 12-20-06 11:14 PM

KOOL COL-B 12-20-06 11:38 PM

pritty sho he means how do u write one fo somebody else to sign... werd

Sean Gunner 12-20-06 11:44 PM

Exactly.

Get a lawyer to write it. I wasn't talkin bout him signing one. If you have someone sign a contract, that means you are liable for certain things, and so are they. If you write it, then there could be laws you don't know of, or loopholes you don't see and they could take all the money you have ever made.

well its not that serious to hire a lawyer, this is what i have

For the matter of establishing a radio stream across the internet for a Mr. James Pickett, the sum of 250$ is to be paid to Isaiah Lee Marshall. For the Matter of providing the software “Winamp Pro 5.3” the sum of 20$ will be paid to Isaiah Lee Marshall. If lessons are to be provided by Isaiah Lee Marshall to Mr. James Pickett on how to Operate the Winamp Software and manipulate it to stream his radio broadcast across the internet, each session will be priced at 75$, if Mr. Picket requires lessons in any area other than thus specified then the price will be discussed then and there. If Mr. Pickett Requires any other services from Isaiah Lee Marshall, then the price will be discussed then and there. All fees are to be paid up front, and in cash, If Mr. Pickett is unable to provide cash then the matter will be discussed then and there. If any problems are to occur (i.e. Computer Crashing, Settings reset) there will be a 50$ fee to correct each problem.

you definitely don't need a lawyer to write a contract.

not the prettiest contract i've ever seen but it'll get the job done. those bolded pieces are reccomended additions to close said loopholes. i might reccomend some verbiage to adress that "if cash can't be doled out" part. btw, no professional business man is going to pay you soley in cash seeing that cash has no papertrail.

now you owe me the $350 you would have spent on a lawyer to type your names on a template lol

-TeamOne- 12-21-06 08:10 AM

Thanx Apexx .

Mayne Event 12-21-06 10:57 AM

WhoAmI 12-21-06 11:00 AM

it doesn't necessarily have to be set at an hourly rate they could be a series of one off sums to be paid if ya follow

Spektikul 12-21-06 12:11 PM

I just wrote one for school, I could send it to you over msn if you want a brief example of what one looks like...

Sean Gunner 12-22-06 01:48 PM

You know it is illegal to charge him money for software without paying royalties to winamp right?
