RV on Wikipedia
 

I want to do a small/medium article on Wikipedia about RV. So, what kind of things should I include in the article? Would it be better to stick to the basics like when the board split and when new skins were added and such, or go in-depth with it like shit about the style changes, shifts into audio, tournaments, legendary members etc? Strobe if you could throw some stats my way, it would be illy.

I want the universal opinion of RV here so your opinion is valued.

long time regular members who still post should be recognised in the article...and also people who've done things for the site and definitely the audio switch should be mentioned and the fact that we were part of RapBattles.com...

Ummm, yeah... if you want to do it.

Include the split from RB and you should also include the transition from RapBattles ReLaunched to RapVerse and if you know... maybe say why the change of names.

The shifts into audio would be a nice touch, also the death of topical battling would be cool to, I mean no fucker does that on here anymore. The evolution of text, how it went from what it was back in '04 to what it is now. Those people who have been inspirations to other dudes in text, topical, audio, even gfx if you can.

The tournaments, I would only focus on shit like KORV and Verbal Emotions, tournaments that have been an annual occurance... not just random ass shit that people have put up.

The leagues... PLL - PunchLine League that was ran by Mimesis and basically brought back a lot of activity to the site. After a dry spell of quickly passing leagues, Mimesis brought one that stayed for months and months and averaged like 40-50 battlers a week. Then, there is the LBL - Lyricist Battle League... brought to RV by KempoMRK who basically re-introduced a full battling text league that was active... something that was thought to be impossible to do at the time. He brought so many new faces to RV from B-boys, and even got dudes from RB to come over on a more permanent basis.

- Nick Fletcher (hell, I was voted in the actual RV HoF) :)

... those are the only dudes who spring to mind right now.



That is just a quick idea of some shit you could include if you choose to.
