Trying to find answers in a world that doesn’t take notice
Is like attempts to clearly see in clouds of fog, its a mistake, hopeless
So I break focus, from the pitiful society we live in
And wonder why we’re handed nothing, with no variety we’re given
Your only hope is looking up, and clasping your palms together
In a land where your dad’s no good, and your mom’s no better
But WAIT!
The situation’s looking bleak, escaping ain’t an option
You’re an artist, but can’t even wait and paint an option
Roadblocks of smoke and mirrors, but you can’t run through
Because, according to the media,
The second hand smoke will kill you before a gun do
Damn those blasted fools, like they get your situation
They’re supposed to be the helpers, how can you diss the patient?
So I sit, wait n’ hope the skies open soon
Switched to self pity mode, because believe that my hopin’s through


we all tryin to survive, but I think our copin’s through
look at our watches, maybe the skies’ll open soon
but the skies never part, so people try to get this ‘cane
and even when they do, all we’re met with is rain
