Is Matter Eternal?
Yes or no and why?
|
Its most probable..
We appear to live in a universe of infinite complexity and expanse. Its also a widly accepted theory that we arnt the only universe in existance. And since time is merely an illusion of movement I dont think matter will ever leave existance entirly.. Maybe if every universe in existance gave into a big crunch it would be condensed into a singularity... But that singularity would still inevidibly be matter. ............Unless all currant human theory is just bullshit and all things in existance will eventually turn to nothing at some point.. You be the judge.. |
God is eternal.
Our essence (energy) is eternal. Dat about it. |
Quote:
Energy being eternal contradicts creationism because that means that there was something here the same time as God, and The Bible clearly says that there was nothing. So either matter and energy are eternal, or God is. Not both. |

Man, open your mind for a second. |
I'm taking the literal translation of The Bible that Q goes by. It clearly states that before God there was nothing. The 'universe' was nothing but darkness and nothing else.
Now, if matter is eternal, then does that not mean that it was there when God was there? Since the first 5 books of The Bible were written by Moses under God's guidance, I think the wording is pretty accurate and precise. Therefore, if matter and energy is eternal, that would thereby either prove there are mistakes in The Bible w/ evidence, or that God does not exist, or option 2 is that matter is not eternal. I want to know if people think matter is eternal though. Opening my mind? Man, I am. I was a full blown creationist and now I am talkin bout the arguement that God may not exist, you really can't be much more open then that without cutting your skull off. Anyway, any other people have inputs? |
Matter is not eternal because it can be turned into energy.
