For all you Chefs out there...

Canola oil is da bomb!

Man, if you ever fry chicken, use Canola oil for 3 reasons:

1. It's healthier than vegetable oil or Crisco

2. It makes the chicken taste amazing!

3. It's sooooo cool!

Man I'll tell you something... Canola oil is what I USED to use, until my nonna (italian for grandmother) taught me that olive oil is the best oil. Especially if you're doing something like chicken schnitzel.. A bit of olive oil, garlic cloves.. And if your crumb recipe is good that chicken will be out of this world.

^^That's some real CHEF ish there! And, I think that would even be healthier than Canola. I only use olive oil to sear or brown meats in a pan...

And, I bread my chicken with fluor, not crumbs...But, if I did use crumbs, I'd bake my chicken.

just on a side note, some of the best bbq sauce that goes with chicken is kc masterpeice......and if you are having ribs its gon be bulls eye, and of course a1 with steaks....yep

You should try using a crumb mix some time... Just put some good quality bread into a food processor until it turns it into crumbs (1 cup), put that into a bowl and mix in some salt/chicken salt and fresh pepper, some fresh basil (a few pinches), and some finely grated cheese (1/2 cup - preferably peccorino cheese, if you can't find that just go with parmesan). You can even put more stuff, like sometimes I put some fresh oregano or parsley, sometimes I add a few crushed chicken stock cubes... But you don't have to.

Then whisk a few eggs in a bowl, dip the chicken breast fillets into the egg, then into the crumb mix (make sure it gets completely covered), then put them on a plate ready to cook.

All that's left is to cook them in a fry pan in some olive oil and crushed garlic cloves until they turn a golden brown or darkish golden brown.

That's some good shit right there. You don't have to, but it will definitely be dope if you try it some time.

Canola oil isn't healthier than olive oil but you're not supposed to fry with olive oil anyways because its buns at high temps.

^^I said Olive Oil is healthier.

And ur right about Olive Oil burning...That's why when u cook with it, ur not supposed to put it in the pan until after the pan is already completely hot. Then, u sear ur meats.

I cook pork chops that way. I sear them in a frying pan with some olive oil and season.

Then, I wrap each pork chop up individually in aluminum foil, baste it with the juiced from the pan, and then bake it an additional 15-20 minutes.

i only use extra virgin olive oil...dont use canola oil much...just E.V.O.O....i use it as the base for salad dressings along with red wine vinegar and salt and pepper and it tastes really good...it gives a rich taste to just about anything
