Can you play it the regular way--i.e., without the motion controller?


Also, are the graphics as good as say, a PS2?

It depends on the game. Most games have various control schemes, and also there is the "classic controller" which is just a normal controller. Gamecube controllers can also be used, and you can play GC games on it.

If you got it though, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to play the games with a normal controller... The games specifically made for Wii, I mean. Fighting games and shit usually have an option to use a regular controller, but a lot don't.

Hardware-wise, the Wii is more powerful than an Xbox and less powerful and an Xbox360/PS3. The thing is, Nintendo developed a unique way that they render graphics, so the graphics can be really amazing and get a lot more out of the hardware. The graphics really depend on the game though...

Why would you buy a wii and use a regular controller? The wii is a dope system, but if you aren't into it's controller get a 360. A ps3 is a better system than the 360 by a long shot, but the sixaxis(ps3) controller has motion sensing in it too.

You didn't know that? The sixaxis replaced rumble with the motion sensing. In resistence I think motion sensing is only used to shake of chymeras. But the motion sensing will REALLY be used in an upcoming game called Lair when you use the motion sensing to fly on dragons. The best game for the ps3 currently is either Rainbow six vegas or another multi platform game. Since you have a ps3 you're gonna have multiple orgasms this december, by then a shitload of ill games will be out by then.(including gta4 and assasins creed). Look all this shit up on gamefaqs.com
