Building a fanbase, one person at a time
Word...to all the emcees here...How many of you actively try to "win over" or "capture" fans?
I started at my job almot 2 months ago. I let 1 person hear my music. Then, through word of mouth, over 50 people there have either listening to my mixtape or bought it... I opened up a savings account strictly for sales of my mixtape and other music... Nothing comes out... ^^^Might be a good idea for some of y'all to save some DUCKETTS! Get busy negroes!!!!!!! 1 |
nah for real i agree with you but in my case it feels like there just aint enough hours in the day to concentrate on both that and my education simulatneously

recently dropped a mixtape.
made enough money to buy a new laptop, studio speakers, and a few other things. Word of mouth is a natural thing, its a good thing, but not the best thing to rely on for mixtape sales. |
Actually, that is exactly what I am going to do with sales from both my next novel, and whatever I make on my mixtape.
It's going to go into a business account so that I can invest in the further promotion/production. |
HAHA! LE!
How are them Oilers looking this year? |
Lol fucking shitty to be honest with you.

I just write music that I like, if other people dig it, bonus. Music isn't supposed to be weak like Christianity and pushed/forced upon people. That's what MTV does and that's why people like 50 Cent, Kayne West, Gwen Stefani, Fall Out Boy, Akon, and many other wastes of good recording time.
