did canada ever have slaves?

We had some I think, but we were the real "home of the free" cuz Canada is where all the black slaves from USA ran away from their masters too. Course there was still racism here, not as much, and they weren't slaves, treated much better.

We were a pretty nice country, you guys on the other hand.... You guys were dicks...

i grew up not far from where freed slaves came here on tha underground railroad.

they came here hiding in a wooden bench i think, and then their daughter wuz worried that they got caught n she ran outta tha house screaming, n tha white woman ran out n grabbed her n then they saw a horse n carrage commin wif new shit on it, n they brang in tha bench n opened it up, n they were all like "we are free, we are in Canada!!"

i would be willing to bet that a majority of the black families in Canada moved to Canada from the U.S. since slavery, the majority aren't the decedents of escaped slaves.
