Ok, so lil guy here is trying to convince me that at SOME point (he doesn't remember) in game 4, the Lakers should have fouled the Celtics but instead "he remembers" that the Lakers wasted like 20 seconds and then fouled the Celtics. And supposedly Phil Jackson was going crazy because LA didn't foul and supposedly the announcers were like "LA'S GOTTA FOUL!!"

But let's look for arguments sake at the last 1:30 of the game (Brought to us by the nice people over at ESPN)

So I bolded two of the big moments of the late game.

Situation 1). Down 3, with 1:04 left to go in a one possesion game. Definitely you don't foul. Kobe committed an unintentional foul on Pierce. Lakers didn't WANT to foul, you can argue whether it really was a foul or not, but Lakers shouldn't have let themselves be in that situation.

situation 2). Down 3 with 40 seconds left, one possesion game again. You don't foul, Lakers tried for the stop and allen killed sasha and rest is history.


But STILL there is supposedly a situation where the Lakers wasted 20 seconds and fouled late, instead of earlier. So just wondering if anyone else recalls a situation like that.

i think it was after allen drove on sasha but dont quote me on it but i think after allen drove it was all she wrote do but eh who knows ....

^well yea, after that. they missed their shot and did foul but it was too late lol

but damn that shit would have been epic if it went into OT lol

even tho i guess it already was epic thanks to the comeback

well being someone who holds the redsox title in 04 tightly to his heart one also knows that anything is possible (down 0-3 to the yanks)so i give all the respect to the lakers and hope the celtics can put this fuckin thing away
