Been to college?

How much would it have costed you/did cost you for about.. 5 courses?

Here it's around $2,000 USD, which of course, you know, I can fork that out for my education, and some people are paying more, but I'm gonna be in debt pretty damned bad when I get out of college. Why does America screw people over so hard? (don't answer that).

Anyway, I'm curious, how bad is it for you? Let everyone know your country, currency, and damages.

Edit:

And that's our LOCAL college.. It's not some fancy world-wide known college that nerds dream about going to. Just the nearby college, you feel? Share any other information too!

It's free up to 19 in england.

Then its costs-not sure how much unless your on some kind of benefit-it's free.

Then you have charity courses who will inroll you for nothing if you live in some kinda hostel or suning.

But when your older you can take courses for free if you like.(not sure of age group).

But then again england do take care of there own, but more so treated like a prince if your indian or some kinda origion.

Shits fucked up.

Well the world is fucked up bad. :cussing:

UK heads, 2v wasn't referring to what we call college over here. he was talking about university

as it stands we have to pay £3,145 this year for one year of our degrees, and the price has been rising each year since i started. International students have to pay more and they aren't entitled to student grants and loans as far as i know.

for tuition fees alone, you're looking at paying over 10 grand. and if you opted for taking out the student loan then that's about another 6-9 thousand pounds as well.

but the only redeeming quality about the cost of all this is that if you take out the tuition loan and other student finance, you pay a very small percentage of your paycheck back to them, and that's if you're earning £15k or more. If you don't manage to pay it off in 25 years or so, the debt is written off, and the repayments remain in line with inflation which is cool, unless, of course, you fail to get a payrise lol

Its still expensive in canada.. and why would you need dual citizenship you can easily go to lawschool no problem without it.

Im going to school in canada its about 2500 - 3000 for my course load and then when I head to finland my schooling is free.

my highschool costed more for like 1 year than my university will cost total

Well I guess it was really stupid to drop the 5 course thing on people from the UK.

5 courses is a typical "season", with 4 Seasons to a year and the fact that 2,000 is the price if I sold all my perfect-condition books back to the college for exactly half the price, the real price would be 8,000 a year. If I studied all year and kept my books in perfect condition it would cost around $8,000 USD to get a certificate from college so I could have a professional job nearby. So that's my local college's price for 5 courses. If I kept the books it would probably be around 16,000 for everything together.

Which sucks. But I'm sure only some of you understand what I'm trying to say. I appreciate all your info, sir Sir.

$700 a semester. Once you have 12 credit hours you are considered full time so they stop counting. Ha. You can take 7 classes if you want for the same price.

Gotta love community college.

Chris Stylez 08-13-08 03:07 PM

COMMUNITY COLLEGE FTW. Then transfering to get my Bachealor. Dumbasses who pay for a big school all 4 years.
