Actually, this year has been fairly disappointing as far as albums go. I mean, we all knew Carter 3 was gonna be hot garbage, no surprise there. LAX is decent, nothing spectacular. I'd have to say the best album I've heard this year is Rising Down by The Roots.

There are some albums scheduled to drop later this year that I would like to anticipate, but I don't know if they'll really come out:

Murs - Murs for President (Sept. 30)
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II
EPMD - We Mean Business

There's also rumors of a new Redman & Method Man album, as well as new BlackStar and Reflection Eternal albums.

But personally, in 2008, the video game market has been dominating music.
