Bush: The Right Step?

i gotta admit, at first i was extremely pissed off @ Bush for buying up/trying to buy up those fucking dipshit companies, because its a free market. They should be held accountable. But, for once, this dude is actually making sense. He doesn't sound like a complete tool.

"With the situation becoming more precarious by the day, I faced a choice: to step in with dramatic government action or to stand back and allow the irresponsible actions by some to undermine the financial security of all," Bush said.

that pretty much sum's it all up. prob, one of the few things i've ever heard from Bush that i agree with.

whatcha ya'll think?

i agree with the fact we need a plan i dont agree with hardworking americans yet again fitting the bill more than likely the assets they buy up at this rediculously low price will generate an actual profit against the national deficit and hopefully be given back to us taxpayers when its all said and done...he is right there are the only institution that can absorb they equity gon wrong

That's what I've been saying. You can't let the majority suffer because a small minority of people made some mistakes.

Mim's you stated in another thread that we had to take over these business's other wise, we'd go into a depression.

so, what side are you taking again?

Magic5 09-24-08 10:52 PM

No, I didn't say we needed to take over businesses. I said we needed a flood of money pumped into the market because otherwise we're going to be fucked. I've always supported this government intervention. We just have to hope that they don't screw up like they usually do, haha.

are you speaking of small bussinesses that made bad decisions like the article mentions? or are you generalizing the lower class into people who "made bad decisions?"

jw, because that changes my response...

Hahaha, whattttt? Who's talking about lower class people in this thread? I'm not.

Blay'all 09-25-08 01:17 AM

^ just checkin... i realize what this thread is talking about, that just sounded like a generalized statement about what you've "been saying."

anyways, i agree that this type of shit might sound bad, and might not be what we would like to do, but for once i think the big man is right that this might be our only option at this point... i guess we'll wait and see.

i also thought it was extremle intelligent of him to invite both Mccain and Obama to the White House to disscus this whole thing. That's a real move.
