Bail Out, Any Idea's?

Any one get ne clue on what the fuck is going on anymore with the American dream?

I dont get it....

Republican's, who oppose to buying up private business's.....voted against the bill.

Yet, it was proposed by a Republican leader.

Democracts want the bill to be passed, yet...if the bill is passed, we will have to pay for it through higher taxes.

Obama, wants the bill to be passed

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26945630/

yet, who is going to pay for it? Us, middle class, already strugglin Americans.

I thought Obama was against putting more pressure on the middle class.

I'm def. confused, and a little pissed off.

This shit is scary though, seeing how alot of American's are now feeling as if all the hard work they did...buying into the American set of vaules, and living by them...but now feeling backstabbed by them. Due to the fact that our goverment is completely fucking up.

I worked my ass off for a company, and i bought into their values and belivied the company would help me out because i had done everything i could. In the end, i got completely fucked...i still work there 1 day a week for extra spending cash. But i could give a fuck if the company goes under. I hope that this experinece isn't the same feeling i'll have with America.

Anyone else got ne input?

Some speaker spoke bad about the republican before the voting. The 12 republics got pissed and didnt vote like they were suppose to cuz of their pride. Were ran by some shitheads.

aside from that, haven't I been telling you from the start that they're both owned anyway?

unless you have a guy that looks crazy, jabbering his head off about all the wrongs in America, then you're gonna have people like Obama (like I said from the start) brainwashing America with hope.

And dumbass faggots like Aphillyate, telling other people that the jabbering crazy guy is insane and America needs a brainwasher sweet-talker to talk about how good America can-be.

just face up to some damn truth. If you can't do that, you still have a few feet to drop before rock bottom.

I saw a good idea on how to reinvigorate the economy by instead of bailing out AIG, we bail out America.

Instead, give the $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bona fide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up… So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.
The plan would give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ would pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife would have $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads!
Put away money for college – it will be there!
Save in a bank – create money to lend to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs!
Invest in the market – capital drives growth!
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves!
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else~

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it...instead of trickling out
a puny $1,000.00 (“vote buy”) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to execute an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult US Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here’s the rationale. We deserve it, and AIG doesn't.
Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.”
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC.

And remember, The Plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

I'm no economist but it seems like it would work.

First off....u can call me a faggot all you'd like, just remember...

parents basement < my own house

besides all of that...

dude, you are crazy. You go about things the wrong way.

'FUCKING AMERICA IS FUCKED! FUCKING FUCK, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT! FUCKING JUST FUCK IT, LETS ALL LEAVE N RUN!'

that makes you sound like a lil BITCH.

its because of dumbass's like you, with your fuck this lets leave mentality that were in this situation in the first place.

Maybe if American's grew some fucking nuts, like we did in the 50's n actualy started to WORK for what we want, instead of belivieing that we should be GIVEN it...than we woulnd't be in this 'credit' mess.

Nobody who's posted in this thread understands what's happening. We needed the bail out and it pisses me the fuck off that the House didn't pass it, but whoever said everybody 18+ should get money doesn't know shit and Pinky, that's not how the bail out would work.

Hence the last time I posted. If you're so smart what would you do?

Magic5 09-29-08 10:33 PM

I'd pass the fucking bailout.

p4ntzistheish 09-29-08 10:40 PM

Well you only bailout of bankruptcy, and bankruptcy at that scale means demand is fucked. Throwing money at a sinking ship won't help.

Magic5 09-29-08 10:48 PM

Right now the ship is sinking. If the bailout isn't passed the ship will probably sink. If the bailout is passed, the ship may sink anyway, but it's the best option we have left.

The financial industry is collapsing and everybody's so quick to talk about how the bailout may not work, but AT LEAST IT'S SOMETHING. This is the worst financial crisis this country has been in since 1929 and everybody wants to sit on their hands and watch? WHAT THE FUCK kind of garbage ass solution is that? You're right, the financial industry may collapse even with the bailout, but at least the bailout will give it a chance to work.

Giving money to people 18+ will not solve ANYTHING. Whoever wrote the little article that you posted doesn't understand how capitalism works. I'm tired of these media and political morons pretending like they understand capitalism's archeticture when they don't. Giving everybody a fucking check for a few hundred thousand dollars would be nice, but it will not fucking work.

p4ntzistheish 09-29-08 10:52 PM

I see what the guy post'd as an extension of the Stimulus checks the gov't sent out this year to help stimulate economy. Grant'd much larger but an extension none the less. Yeah the bail out will show some stability so banks MAY take risks again it's still an iffy situation. As if giving out hundreds of thousands of dollars to the public, but there are still only so many options that the public will take, spend in masse, or save. either way the economy is either being replenished by spending, or banks will have savings to lend out again to invigorate that way. i see either way as a positive. Maybe it's just me.

Sean Gunner 09-29-08 11:06 PM

I wonder if we will enter a war to bring us out of the looming depression.

It is just you and everybody else who doesn't understand how capitalism works.

Do you really think I'd be sitting here arguing against a couple hundred thousand dollars if I didn't think it'd fail? Of fucking course I want a few hundred grand, but that's not going to work. Giving money to everybody will not help the financial situation at all.

If capital isn't being generated, capitalism can't work. Most people just don't understand capitalism, and I normally don't have any reason to blame anybody for that, except right now the people who are making the decisions on the bailout NEED to understand what they're doing by not passing it. They don't get it. I don't care if anybody else on this site gets it except for me -- hoping for a $400,000 check accomplishes nothing and will not happen because it doesn't make any sense, as it's not a solution to the problem we're having.

There's a reason why Warren Buffet came out this weekend and said we needed this bailout. Everybody who understands capitalism knows we need this bailout. People who don't understand capitalism hope for a big ass check, or think that giving a big ass check to everybody will solve something. It won't.

The bailout needs to be passed, and I really hope Congress changes their mind on Thursday or there's a pretty decent chance that we're all going to find ourselves in deep shit.

Just imagine how much worse it will get if McCain is running the country in a month.
