what if...

in battle threads you could only leave voting posts...

to stop people being fucking fence sitters..

Brydon 03-08-09 11:31 AM

Yeh sounds the right thing to do.Coz if you post a vote you have to leave feedback anyway.

MurDaH187 03-08-09 02:02 PM

That would be so smart to do good idea.....

GKillaz05 03-08-09 02:08 PM

yes ... SPuL would be extremely bored then... and forced to vote.. or go get a life. One of the 2.

LMFAO!!!!! :laugh2:

Ltizzle 03-08-09 03:10 PM

Or nobody would vote, period? I don't know, has the battle sections actually been active as of late? I guess if people are looking at the battles on a regular basis, it might work, but you also run the risk of just nobody looking period I would think.

GKillaz05 03-08-09 03:13 PM

what is seriously the point of lookin' at a battle and then atleast not droppin' a vote for the MC's that took there time to drop a battle for your entertainment.

LOL @ how much you suck at dissing people.

First, you post up a link to a crew try out thread trying to diss me, and in the end only ended up making YOURSELF look worse.

Second, this wouldn't force me to vote because I don't even view other battles, so this doesn't affect me in any way.

So once again you have FAILED. just like you do in every other aspect in life. Congrats.

oh, and to get back on topic, I agree with Nos.

La Cosa Nostra 03-08-09 08:42 PM

cool.. i think we should probably trial it.. i talked to strobe about it before this thread was made and he put forward some valid concearns..

but seeing as everyone so far is supportive of it maybe its worth a shot..

i mean im sure i dont speak for myself when a bunch of assholes come in your battle thread read/hear the whole thing but dont poll a vote, thats bullshit.. fuck checking polls, people can do that after the battles finished and if anybody wants to discuss the battle..........then do it in the 'lyricists lounge'.

eh?

J. Luth 03-08-09 09:00 PM

^yea, true but say if it's a bullshit vote, then can't you always get it DQ'd?

La Cosa Nostra 03-08-09 09:28 PM

you can.. at the expense of more work for strobe or whoever is DQing votes currantly...

but i think usually the best way to combat shit votes is to just raise the post count needed to vote on your battle...

First off there are no MC's in a text battle

Secondly, sometimes I'll go into a battle and read it and then think to myself "Wow this battle really sucked. I don't want to waste my time to vote on this lame battle. I'll just leave feedback to see who's winning."

La Cosa Nostra 03-08-09 09:36 PM

this is designed to combat that....

if you want to know whose winning... lay down a quick vote..

J. Luth 03-08-09 10:09 PM

^exactly.

and word. That's exactly what I do. 1,000 post limit, to prevent them herb or bullshit votes.

But yea, then probably strobe needs to make one of the mods now mods in that forum too. So there'd be more on duty to handle that. Plus, I don't think a lot of people will just b/s. maybe if they do it more than once ban them from FLs or something to prevent it.

La Cosa Nostra 03-09-09 08:54 AM

all good ideas...

ill link strobe to this thread for next time hes on maybe we can trial it and if after a while the complaints start rolling in then it can be scrapped....
