I think yours had the better flow out of the two, but your vocab could do some serious upliftin. Your punches were strong every once and a while and some of the lines took away from your consistency.

BMC-
You have an intriguing ryme scheme. It threw me off a lil but I caught on. Your lines could use some lengthening to improve the flow, but you have good complexity. You had strong lines, but they seemed empty without a setup or follow up line.
