Hip- Hop ?

im the slave of an A4 page,
drowning amongst my brain waves.
trying to be creative, to stand out
and keep original, never losing sight of how i came up.

i want to be positive, but negativity surrounds the world
and my lone voice is heard, through spoken word
eventually, i want to die knowing i lived a full life.
the murderers are the guns,
people are just the accomplices at the scene of the crime.

i put my life into hiphop,
its a culture, that was raised on peace,
to help children from the streets,
to give them a hope, something to live for
but now the cultures is more like a scapegoat.
Its blamed for violence, drugs,
but to me - its just music, i dont feel influenced by it in a violent way.
to me, its a way to express my thoughts, my ideas.
Its a means of getting my point across.
but these days its just to corrupted
money is the root of all evil
and its money thats destroying our culture.
Hiphop is dieing.

Its spoken word....

I dunno why, but I gotta say that the lines "the murderers are the guns, people are just the accomplices at the scene of the crime." reminded me of that infamous hell in the cell match between Undertaker and Mankind. ::Shrug::. I dunno why.

Anyway, this was a pretty profoundly wise poem. I mean, it really captured the truth. Hip-Hop really is dying. Well, not dying so much as it is degenerating. But y'know, if a rabbit degenerated in such a way it lost all it's legs, it won't survive real long. Know what I'm saying?

Mo-Mentai.
