Desperation
 

Trying moments in life calling for desperate measures/
Thoughts filled with strife falling less than pleasures/
Outsiders saying to weather the storm within/
Counselors telling you to not give in it gets better, but then/
It becomes unbareable with no way out you seek shelter/
A prisoner in your own mind scared you can't help her/
The future is out of sight and there's no way to predict it/
Only time will give it till then the weight will not be lifted/
Hopeful words will be persistent to keep moral high/
Strength in numbers yet at night you fall asleep as you cry/
Wishing and dreaming to die for the chance to trade places/
Knowing there's no replacement your heart feels vacant/
The biggest obstacle you're facing stands within yourself/
self pity and destructive thoughts your life begins to impale/
Heaven turned to a hell as everything seems to collapse around you/
Your thoughts become hallucinations as "all odds are against you"/
Time to focus on life rather than death to cure your mind's disease/
Steady dropping to your knees asking "God, why must this be me?"/
There's no time at ease it seems drugs is the only way to relieve the pain/
You never speak her name too busy retreating your brain as if you're insane/
Waking up in your own blood stain to the harsh reality that you can't escape/
You'll never win this race everything's a blur to the finish you can't seem to wait/
Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst the informant steps into the room/

Oh man...thank you...honest, wow, this means so much to me,
I...I needed this I think, I actually feel better. Like...things make more sense, I'm not as worried, ...I don't feel alone...I..I don't know what to say, this is like the nicest thing someone has ever done for me.
