They Tell Me....
 

Whoa it has been a while......not a lot of familiar faces left here..
but some very talented new ones...:)


They tell me, that every star I gaze upon is there for a reason
That every gust of wind was created with a purpose in mind
As I watch the sun disappear beneath the beckoning horizon
I have to wonder, if I search this darkness what it is I’ll find

Cause it seems the sun no longer has a reason to rise on dawn
And in this blanket of night I can not find a way to escape
No longer do crickets sing to me their symphonies of life
This deathly silence leaves it’s scars caused by mental rape

What peace it would be to be able to exist simply in fairytale
Where the blink of an eye can make your dreams come true
Where tears are something that you’ve heard of in stories
But they are only myths created to scare little children like you

I look for that slither of light, to denote my path out of here
Or those fingers that lie connected to that hand of hope
But no one ever comes into this world of darkness to seek me
They all stand on the sidelines and assume that I’ll just cope

Well I’ll let these eyes drain their pain down along my cheeks
And I won’t stop as I collect each droplet along my lips
Then I shall spit these tears back into your hypocritical faces
And watch as your emotionless faces wonder what you missed

Ah I liked it

executed well...

...coming back like always, with talent and ability...

Liked the imagery in here, and even though at times i felt it wasn't used within the 'structure' of the piece as well as it could've been (only sometimes though), it still came through very nice...very very nice...

...and nicely ended, in a way, very hard hitting this piece was overall...

It's okay, I'm on this forum. And I'm the only person that matters in anyway shape or form. I'm being horribly sarcastic, but still...

...and poof. Anyway, thats some quitefully good work you've got there. A default approach to unnerving restlessness I think. Easy to follow and great to read. I liked it.
