Our Prayers Have Been Answered
We've seen it happen to plenty of labels — Bad Boy, Cash Money,
No Limit, Def Jam and Death Row. Label executives ride a wave of commercial success, putting out nothing but hits, only to eventually hit a wall. While some companies are able to bounce back and be embraced once again by the public, others ultimately fall by the wayside. Murder Inc. is trying hard to avoid that fate. Having gone through a bit of a rough patch these past few months — on top of its beef with Eminem, Dre and 50 Cent, the label is in the middle of an ongoing federal investigation stemming from a raid of its New York offices back in January — company CEO Irv Gotti says he's well aware of the backlash, especially when it comes to his biggest star, Ja Rule. Case in point: Ja's 2002 LP, The Last Temptation, is his lowest selling since his debut, Venni Vetti Vecci, and his current single, "The Reign," isn't getting the record-breaking radio spins the Queens MC has grown accustomed to. On a recent episode of BET's "106 and Park," fans panned the song's video and called for Ja to stop singing so much. To make matters worse, the public has been showing overwhelming support for Rule's lyrical foe, 50 Cent. "Rule's been out since 1999. He came out in 1999 and we dropped an album every year since [then]," Gotti said Saturday, rationalizing Ja's seemingly fading popularity. "He's been on the radio — probably the most played rap artist [from] 1999 till now. I'll give the people that — maybe y'all want a little break from my man. I'll give you six months. Y'all could ride with whoever. [Regardless of what they say,] it's all good 'cause they talking about my man. As long as y'all talking about my man, we'll deliver." Gotti says that Rule is going to keep relatively silent during the next half year. He's been turning down interviews and the two aren't thinking about dropping Ja's next album until sometime in 2004. "We're going to come with a double album 'cause [there's] a lot to talk about," Gotti revealed. "We're going go make some records. When the records are finished, the album will come out." ~peace~ |
i've just heard this somewhere else, i hope Ja just realises that nobody in hiphop likes or respects him and retires
im more interested in the rumors that 2pac will "rise from the dead" than ja rule. ja should really retire, or turn to acting like Ice-T
^^or maybe someone will nail him with a semi-automatic weapon of some kind and solve the problem permanently.
^^^ U bougs:) But I still got respect for him. I just don't like in this months XXL how he said he gone whooped 50, Em, and Dre. All should pick it up 4 real. Ja is talking real greasy. I still respect him as an artist, cuz remember, his first album was hott.
I'm hardly a Ja Rule fan... but I'd rather listen to him then 50 Cent any day.
Thank God. Hopefully the radio will stop over playing his songs. I can't stand it anymore...
Good.....now I hope God will listen to my prayers of making 50 Cent silent.....I can't stand either of them. This so-called "beef" between them is just a bunch of diss tracks with two people claiming how "ghetto" and "black" they are. Their best disses toward eachother are shit like "You ain't a black man. You ain't a G. (Insert mindless drivel backgrounded with pointless boasting) You a thug wannabe."

:whacky: They just started that "beef" to gain attention and money... I can barley stand 50 Cent, Ja Rule...I just wanna rip out his vocal cords... |
^^That's the point I was making
What teenage wigger doesn't want to hear about someone boasting on how "black" they are and how "not black/white" the other person is? I mean, come on now, that's like the battle of the century. As much as I hate battling, I would just love to battle Ja Rule and 50 Cent. I would win with one line. "Well, duh, I am white" |
I got a few things to say about.the so called gangsta......a double album in 2004 would be two cd's too much..... Ja is probably the only rapper that wouldn't sell more if he was killed....He sings too much.....and he never really was on top to fall off.....sure he got a lot of radio play to shut 14 year old girls up.....but their wasn't enough 14 year olds buying to keep him on top.....Doesn't matter what he says on a diss track to fifty....how much Irv Gotti's druglord buddy threatens....Ja just ain't coming back..You can only sell that bubble gum shit and pop it out of your ass for so long.....then people just get tired....The next one to fall to this will probably be Nelly.....he is defintly on that route....but at least Nelly isn't a wanksta....
nelly did a song with justin timberlake. nuff said
Yeah Justin Timberlake and that dumbass song about shoes...
The since 1999 is eminem i can almost guarnetee that....but as for Ja i'm kinda glad that he ain't droppin' right now if he were to get off the singing stuff and do his first albulm type stuff than i think people would like him a little bit more to be truthfull this shsit with 50 isn't helpin because people like 50 better because he's on top right now and he can keep pushing Ja lower and lower tha higher up he gets.............they should either squash the beef or actually do something about................
PEACE |

It's a little hard to squash the beef when Irv Gotti,Black Child and a few other murder inc asscosiates stabbed ya....and now their is also evidence of them bing involved in the shooting.....with that much beef I would never squash it......so Fifty obviously won't eitheir..Ut's on for life....sort of like the Tupac and Biggie beef....the beef will only end in death just like it did to him......But I could be wrong.. |
