Still Thinking Of You-first post in a long time
 

aight..i used to b here at rb a long time ago. i was an old member and prolly non of yall remember me but o well. this piece is about my dad, as much of my poemz are...

Sitting here
Can’t even concentrate
Too much on my mind
Can’t even contemplate

Once...everyday
You push yourself into my mind, some way
Maybe, one day
I’ll stop thinking about you, someday

I can’t stand it anymore
After all how could you?
You don’t want to see us?
After all why should you

Not that I’m wanting you back
But I need some peace of mind
Have you ever thought about it?
Or am I not even worth that much of your time?

You’d think you’d be sorry
You’d think you’d ask to be forgiven
But you chose to leave
You chose to continue the life you were living

If I’m not worth your time
Not worth your thought of mind
Than why should you be worth mine
If only you tried than fine

But you didn’t think twice
You didn’t even try
Left me with only one question
Why?Why?Why?

I’ve come a long way
Without any help from you
I’ve learned what I have
I’ve made my dreams come true

I try to say that I don’t care
But truth be told I do…
Sitting here 7 years later; still strong
And STILL thinking of you…

I really liked it. Very good post. I can't really say much about this. It was well written and easy to follow. Nice words used. You took me on a trip through what you were feeling and helped me feel it too. lol, corny way to say it but that's all I could think of.

I'm in a similar situation to yours but with my mom, so those lines right there I was really feeling. I'm still able to talk to her every once in a while but she hasn't apologized, and if I don't call her, we wouldn't ever talk. She just keeps going on with her own life, not wondering about mine.

I really liked that part of it too. I feel completely the same thing. Are you sure you didn't write this thinking about my life? :P It was a good post. I'm glad I read it.

^That was a great reply. He pretty much hit on everything.
The whole piece had madd emotion, simple structure yet complex content, kept me into what you were saying. The ending line was the best by far, nice way to incorporate the title into it. Powerful conclusion, no doubt.

Malcolm X is ETERNAL- still alive n ballin... but its all good.
