Ignorance
Ignorance (is bli$$)
The fat man just pushed his way by her He was in a hurry She did nothing wrong She did nothing right She did nothing-- period. What about the child? He is deprived He seems satisfied He knows no better A content heart is all that matters But like that little worker we are not all content, nor do we all have hearts That's just a pest! I guess the fat man should have stepped on it instead. ... ... ...He doesn't need to Then we're in agreement But what about her? She's the cook. --Philo |
Interesting concept. Reminded me as more of a dialogue than anything else. You threw in some hooks that made it more difficult to understand. I could give many options of reasoning but i wont because i think its better off unsaid. Fight for the right to write--so write on!

I didn't really understand it. The lady was pregnant? You went from the lady getting bumped to some kid so I dunno. Really confused. Maybe someone could explain it to me? I'm an idiot.

Hmm I'm not sure if this does have a meaning to be honest.. if it does I'd be interested in knowing..
But at that same time, I like the freedom, that it makes absolutely no sense at all to me... it makes me want to read it over and over to discover a connection, and I dont know about anyone else, but I couldn't find one lol So instead, I found myself reading each line seperately..and I realised that ( at least to me ) each line, had its own intrical message.. Very interesting piece.. I really liked it, but for different reasons than that which usually draw me to a verse, therefore I like it more lol For something that makes no sense to me, it's very thought provoking.. maybe that is the main purpose of this piece. Fill us in Philo :) |
It is meant to be thought provoking but of course there is direction and meaning to it. Deacon had the dialoge part there but I ask that you pay particular detail to the lines and who says them.
The title also plays a significant role. I just ask whoever read to think.... then think how many characters are there adn who are they, what are their roles. That will help with whatever interpretation you have. Thanks for reading. Peace |
Don't worry Legendary..It got me at first also..lol. Kinda confusing... But I think I got it now. I have to say it was very different. Well, Keep postin'.

im not sure how far back this was, but this is very interesting piece.
im not sure if i flly comprehen it at the moment, but i will...i can promise u that...i'll be getting back to this always a pleasure t read ur work philo |
You know, i straight away thought of an 'old fashioned' family as such.
Where the mother cooks, cleans and is basically the servant of the husband. The child is, as you say 'content', because this is how he was brought up. The father doesn't step over the line. Just keeps everything in a kind of grey stillness. Keeping everything just about in tact. Like it's controlled. As you said, "why doesn't he just step on the heart"...of course, if he did, things could be very different. And so the vicious circle continues? Helped on by the ignorance?...hmmm.. I'll stick to my first intepretation. Though i'm sure it could mean other things. Both completely different or extensions of the family thing i mentioned above. An interesting approach. One which i liked. It seemed a bit distant and cold. Yet there was this certain amount of linkage which enabled one to 'touch it'. ...resp... |
This was an interesting concept, ..
kinda unique in my opinion, expressed very nice, with some ok vocab , .. all and all an interesting drop. |

interesting to say the least, it was confusing untill i did look at each character and really looked at it hard. while it was fun to find out just what the hell you were talking bout with each character, but it kinda lost the feel of a reg. poem, but guess you arent a reg. poet. hey originalty is what its all bour, and that my friend you hit 10/10. keep droppin-like the challenges of hard wrote pieces
