I’ve already lost the war but I battle every day
finding myself slayed from the plans of your worldly ways//
I stand here dazed raw still from the reaction
Of your game of pick and choose as you commit your evil actions//
On my knees I'm askin "did it really have to be this way?"
Sometimes I wonder if it's just a game you like to play//
I used to pray, I thought faith would show me light
But instead it took my sun away replaced my light with night//
And so I fight, blind swinging it wont stay
I struggle through the memories and words they'll never say//
Through the fact they couldn’t stay long enough to hear goodbyes
Through the sound of hearing each and every of their mothers cry//
And I try to sleep, and attempt to numb the pain
I struggle to hold on to the memories you drain//
My tears stain my pillow, My visions stain my mind
Like I’m supposed to let this go and leave it all behind//

The wheel of time has stopped and landed on the stroke of eight
And all you can tell us was that it was just the hand of fate//
It's to late to take the hate out of my soul
you took away my friends and left me here with out any control//
And now I’m cold from the love I can not feel
My heart has been removed and replaced with one of steel//
THERE WAS NO DEAL, NO OFFER WAS EVER MADE
You took away these lives for your religious accolade//
But I’m not afraid, some stand strong in silent song
Knowing that this is just a test and we wont suffer very long//
And even if I’m wrong At least the world will know
That no matter who you are you could still be the next to go//
And that death row is just another part of birth
some will skip their turn to hold the power of the earth//
So go t church and listen to the lies yourself
