Being Stood Up

One time I showed up for a battle but this cat just was not there
I thought and wrote a really ill verse and I don't think it's fair
I tried to bear the pain but just couldn't, the emotions way to strong
It would have been simple if I wrote without effort, but my verse was just too long
It feels like a sad song, this is my parade and I'm hoping that it rains
so i don't have to show up, and feel like a fool, getting stood up again
its just too much pain, I try to continue but I'm wretch with a broken heart
I wish I could do more... play both sides... but I can only write my part
and I sit here teary-eyed...trying not to admit to myself
that I'm worth less, if he doesn't show up.... at least I'll have my health
I don't want wealth, I don't want fame i just want to win
but its not fair to beat a guy before you even greet him
I hope one day I meet him, then we could make amends
shit, you never now... we might become best friends
but if I had a thick lens, I might be able to see that I'm just living lies
but It's not so bad, I got stood up but I'll still get the prize
when It comes to size this verse may fall short, or too long I don't really bother to count that often my lines and how there numbered
but I always make sure my syallable use is perfect
don't stand me up again
