“There’s a War Going On Outside. . .”

Polluted oceans, unheard notions
President Bush wants to set the ball in motion
Even though the battles is across the sea, it seems to me
“There’s a war going on outside no man is safe from”
Planes hum and tanks roll, while up goes the death toll
Too many eyes on us, the government better keep this on the hush
These bloody conflicts . . . clearly refined
Our country’s politics . . . merely defined
Old wounds that can’t be bought over with a cold beer
What I don’t want to be is what I see in the mirror
It reflects this world’s fear; all I can hear is pain in the distance
All I want to do is disassemble this stance on war
Torn between love and hate; I want something more
To stop what happens behind closed doors, I need a cure
Something pure to heal these blistering sores on my mind
Something kind that can’t be found, to dissipate this frown of mine

I thought it was pretty good. Some of it flowed a little ruff at times. But overall It was good. Keep postin' ! :)

Thanx for the reply, but this is poetry. . . The ''flow" is all in how you read it.
