A girl is sittin holdin a photograph of her lover..tears in her eyes

Its amazin how days can quickly turn into years
how that someone can help you draw back the tears
make you feel fearless and so alive inside
when they tell you how much they love you..eyes filled wit pride
minutes seem like hours when your by theyre side
pray for this moment to last untill the end of time
but sadly fate comes and it took you away
and you are no longer apart of my every day
like i river i cry hurtfilled tears of unhappiness
i wait for my hurt to to stop..but it is endless
i never had the chance to say goodbye to you
i wanted to tell you how much you meant to me boo
but it was too late a seen you fall down on your knees
blood spillin out of your chest as your hand reached for me
I just froze not knowing whether to advance
i retreated and watched you die from where i stand
life was black....and my feelings were confused
i couldnt understand how i was to go on...
couldnt live witout you
Anger began to boil and rose up thru ma body
endothermic reactions of guilt rose up inside me
my heart tore into pieces and scatterd all around
and for the rest of my life my dreams shall be haunted with the sound
of your fate of that gun from that young black males hand
and the smirk on his face after killing a white man
you never knew these people personnally...
they just noticed a difference in skin
brought up with parential advisery

I wanted to run over but i was afraid of what might have happened
