Memory Spiral
 

On this night I lay here in my bed chasing dreams
Chasing The memories that I thought were lost
Pictures of good times flashing like a slide show
Losing focus of the only thing I have left in this world
Left in this harsh world to call my very own
Losing touch, the real only seems surreal, a dream
a milestone with blurry details, replaced with illusions
I feel like my only gate way to the past is fading
On this night, I lay in my bed lookin at the stars
They are forming the images of my past
I look to the stars to help me remember all things lost
As the stars begin to fade, I am forced to chase dreams
Once again the memories of the past are lost with
the light of day, the light pushing me to move on
To forget those memories that control my mind
Every day seeming like an eterity as I sit here
On this bed waiting for the stars to come out again
So that I may stop chasing the dreams and find
my way back to those memories I once lost
