The Rain
 

Waiting...
For what exactly? who knows....
Sitting on the sidewalk
Mind wandering from topic to topic
Landing somewhere in the tropics
The beach full with only sand
Waves rising and falling
Dragging themselves to your feet...
Like a lil kid wishing to show you something
Begging for you to follow
A cool breeze runs by now and then
Although never seeming to go in a particular direction
Sheltered by the shade of a palm tree
Ah, life at its finest
Enjoying the....
Fantasy interupted by a sudden tingling
As a light rain falls, countering the dream
Oh well, dreams are ment to be dreamt right?
There's a puddle, not too far away
Maybe 10 feet, 12 at the most
Something about it attracts all attention
As it absorbs all thoughts, all consciousness…
The rain doesn’t seem to bother anymore
Becomes, well, quite enjoyable
Washing away the thoughts…
Those oh so common materialistic thoughts…
Those oh so common superficial wishes…
Establishing some kind of purity
Purity…HA!…don’t find that too often
Taking away from life’s corruption
Kind of odd…it’s just a drizzle…
Nothing more…
What happens if it rains harder?
Perfect world?

Definetly feeling this one....Way you showed how rain is a good thing is hot....Like the ending....And nice imagery...Keep it going

Heh *grins*, i dig this. Aye, indeed i do...(!).

A very imagery ridden piece of escapism. And how one can, through that (imagination) understand so much, and realise so much without fully grasping it all. Also with a certain amount of simplicity that covers the complexity. And, of course, get that feeling of purity in it's many forms (albeit most of the time temporary, as you cleverly portrayed in the last 4 lines, especially last two..to those who dug and got the 'jist' of it..).

Well that's roughly what i got out of it.
