hip hop is a lifestyle that includes the b-boys/girls, graff artist, rappers, dj's, beat boxers,.

but some dumb asses think hip hop and rap are to diffrent styles of music.

in my eyes........ i see hip hop more as a mainstream type deal. you know? stuff you hear at clubs an wat not. rap to me is more personal feeling. what i use to escape from the world. but then again thats just my opinion.
