"Journey Through My Soul"


look into my eyes and you may end up in my soul.
feel free to relax you have nowhere to go.
take off your shoes and grab a cup of tea
pull up a chair as you get ready to explore me.
now on the is journey you may think that you have found my heart
not quite, although from my soul it is not far apart.
now that you are settled and ready to begin
enjoy the voyage and make yourself a friend.
as i’ve grown older i’ve found a lot to treasure
some things bring pain but there is more pleasure.
i have opened my soul to many new things
preparing myself for what tomorrow may bring.
i love myself if i don’t who will?
yes, i believe in love and yes, it is real.
i believe in dreaming because dreams come true
what those dreams become is left up to you.
life is not all work and no play
i enjoy it to the fullest and live it day by day.
i open up my heart and do not fear
i am free to live, love, laugh and sometimes shed a tear.
i have come to realize that without trying something new
the choices in my life would be no more than a few.
everyday i learn more and more about me
if i didn’t what kind of person would i be.
i take time out everyday to look at myself
i love me unconditionally as if there is no one else.
now that you have taken a journey inside of my soul
let me tell you one more thing before you go:
live your life, make yourself complete
experience new things and make you unique.
i hope that you leave my soul in a better state of mind
if not then forgive me for i have wasted your time

Firstly, I could relate to this piece.
I like how you begin welcoming us into your inner self to allow us to explore you, as I read on I felt like it was you taking the journey of self exploration, affirming who you are and how you feel- to yourself, not only to me, and then I became the by-stander witnessing your self discovery. Once having taken us on the journey, you send us on our way with some of the tools to perhaps search within ourselves for inner acceptance.
Nice flow, there were no lines that held me up. The kind of piece that makes it impossible to take something away from it once you have read it. Nice read.

liked this. at first it seemed like you were talking to us, like your attention was on the readers, then you fell into yourself, and we watched you "explore yourself".

i was a nice read, you made it worth wild, and made me think
i love the idea of having to love yourself because who else will?
makes you relise that you have to learn to love yourself before anyone else can love you, or possibly for you to truly love anyone else

this wasnt based to much of form, but it was good that way, it let more emotion flow, simple and straight, easy read
