torn thoughts
 

My beating heart feels like its torn between two distant places
i know my one true love but im attracted by both faces
i mean it when i say i love you, but i cant understand why
that something inside me is making me turn my head and lie

im parted from you for along time, and my one wish is to be true
but this guy, theres something about him that makes me disregard and swoo
i dont understand why i cant convince myself to just be his friend
i set myself rules im ignoring and morals that i repeatedly bend

THen i wonder if perhaps im making myself belive im in love
of if god even meant to create a force this strong up above
i once thought he made love for us and our true pleasure
but why would he create something that pains us in no way measured

now these piercing thoughts keep bumping inside me damp mind
trying to find my real thoughts thou them, their no where to find
its odd when you cant decide what you yourself are feeling
the only thing i know is because of lost love me hearts open and bleeding
it'll take a great source to mend all of whats been upset
but for now i'll hold the ground that i can and try to forget

I can actually relate to this peice too. Once I thought I was in love with this one guy, but then I remembered I'm not gay. So I just settled for his girlfriend, but it happened that she was gay. So me and that one guy got drunk and headbutted each other... and that has no relation whatsoever to your poem... sorry...

That part really provoked some thought. I mean, what is the purpose of the emotion of love? And what good does it do if it causes so much pain?

I dunno how intentional it was, but this peice tugged at the mind just as much as it tugged at the heart like so much proverbial strings of a harp.

somehow this poem touched me... my girl cheated on my just a week ago and now I can see it from another side. I think that in some way it might be helping me, to just get in that position for one time.
Anywayz, I liked your piece, heartfelt emotions and I felt like you were finally letting your feelings go and you finally got them out there. Don't know why, but it felt like that.
