Dre - How Many Beats?
 

I just listened to "Fuck Dre" by 2pac, Isn't It like almost EXACTLY the same beat as "forgot about dre" By Dre and Eminem. Or am i missing something and Dre just used it cos 'pac had dissed him?

Last time I checked Fuck Dre was by Swoop G and Twista.

i'm a big dre fan as a producer...maybe not so much a record label owner...but over the years i've noticed a lot of similar hooks throughout his work.

For example 2pac's U Can't See Me and Snoop's What's My Name has almost identical bass lines. Eminem's The Real Slim Shady n D12's Ain't Nuthin but music uses a slightly different note sequence for the hook.

neways, when u produce as many tracks as he has i think u should be allowed a little liberty.

yaknow Dre doens't solely produce his beats.

He gets peeps like EM, Melle Man, Ice CUbe (NWA days) to make simple beats and Dre makes them hot - exact same as Puff Combs.

Look at credits - he's hardly ever solely credited for beats apart from NWA and thats part of the reason Cube left.

ya i know what ur sayin but regardless of who else works on em if he's involved then he must realise a track sounds similar to somthin else he's done in the past.

n every artist has studio producers, editors, studio musicians, n mastering people who polish the shit up these days. no one is just sittin their with turntables producin commercial shit on their own.
