Anybody else affected/going to be affected by this hurricane?

It is currently sitting off the coast of my state, North Carolina. Although I live right in the middle of the state, my school just announced that school has been cancelled for tomorrow because of it.

New Jersey isn't s'posed to get hit until Thursday night, how the hell do you guys already have a half-day for tomorrow? I'm in extreme Southern New Jersey and they claim we aren't getting any days off. . :(

My parents live in NC and I live in France. Living here is awsome. But I am not affect by this, though it would be funny to see it happen, unless people died and stuff like that.
