Aight look im new to dis shit.I mean ive been rappin since i was 11 but juss now got serious bout dis shit.Im 14 now and me and some of my boys wanna make an album and we all have money.And there aint no studio round here sept for Nashville and I dont feel like drivin up dere all the time juss to record.I need my own home recording studio,and I was thinkin yall could tell me wat I need to set it up.Jus tell me all wat I need.Thanks in advance.holla

i could tell you exactly what to buy if you tell me exactly how much money you workin with.

you dont need a digital mixer...jesus christ...this is rediculous...

do you plain on making beats???? if not, then fuck a mixer...

if you just want to do vocals...then you need these items...

Microphone (Condenser)
Tube Preamp with phantom power
Monitors
Microphone stand
Pop filter
Cubase SX

you dont even need a digital mixer for making beats if you learned without one. But yeah that is the list you want right there. I don't see why you need cubase sx. That's overkill for a home studio like this. I recommend the Sonic Foundry products, which are now Sony. I use Aicd Pro 4, Sound Forge 7, and CD architect 5. For beat making I use FL Studio Producer Edition, Acid pro 4, and traktor dj 2 w/ turntable controllers.
